The Environmental Dimension of Antimicrobial Resistance (EDAR) was launched in Canada in 2012, catalyzing international efforts to address AMR. The following EDAR2, 3, and 4 conferences were held in China, Germany, and the United States, respectively. These conferences have fostered comprehensive discussions, encompassing critical environmental aspects and firmly integrating them into the One Health framework. Nowadays, international and national guidance agencies, including the World Health Organization (WHO), have widely embraced this new One Health approach.
