CAHSS Poultry Network

CAHSS contributes to the continued protection of the health and welfare of Canada’s poultry flocks. With over 2,600 chicken producers, 1,100 egg farmers, 531 turkey farmers, and 240 broiler hatching egg farmers across the country, the focus is on improving communication, partnerships and data collection using existing networks. The CAHSS poultry network was created in early 2016 and meets quarterly or as required via teleconference. Recognizing that disease is a major limiting factor to poultry health and welfare, as well as the livelihood of Canada’s poultry industry, we monitor and share information to strengthen the industry as a whole.
