West Nile Virus has been confirmed last week in two more horses in Saskatchewan, both unvaccinated mature Quarter Horses. One had travelled to Ponoka, Alberta 7-10 days prior to onset, while the other had not travelled outside it’s home area in the RM of Weyburn No 67. Both horses received veterinary care and are reported to be recovering. This brings the Saskatchewan confirmed cases so far this year to four.
