On February 18, 2026, positive equine infectious anemia (EIA) results were confirmed by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency’s (CFIA) national reference laboratory for 23 horses located on a premises in Clearwater County, Alberta. These are additional cases at a previously affected premises.
