Strangles (Streptococcus equi) in Ontario, December 15, 2025

Strangles (Streptococcus equi) has been confirmed in District of Temiskaming, Ontario. Three horses have been confirmed to have Strangles - clinical signs (nasal discharge, swollen lymph nodes) and positive test results. These horses and their direct contacts are being isolated together in an outside paddock.
